How to import chat history from WhatsApp into Telegram, and what to keep in mind.
You can import chats
Telegram lets you import old WhatsApp chats, so you do not start from scratch. You move one chat at a time — a contact or a group — rather than the whole history at once.
How to do it
On iPhone: open the chat in WhatsApp, choose Export Chat and point it to Telegram. On Android: inside the chat, under the three dots, choose Export Chat. Pick the matching contact in Telegram so it links correctly.
What to keep in mind
An imported chat is no longer end-to-end encrypted (use a Secret Chat for that). Choose whether to move text only or files too, and make sure you linked the chat to the right contact.
